This appointment just recently was very quick, but in the past it has been difficult to actually see a doctor I have been with this surgery for a few years and I have not once seen the doctor I was assigned to at the beginning. I have seen Dr Warden I’ve seen most of the Doctors , nurse practitioners etc, and not my registered doctor that being said I’ve had Pleasant conversations with the receptionist are always very helpful, I am a great believer in scene the same doctor for 99% of my appointments because they only would know my history easier than Locums etc, other than that, Surgery is very pleasant.

One feels it has to be in an emergency only not minor routine illnesses

Easy in person nightmare by phone

There appears to be no way to avoid a lengthy telephone call, I always go in person to the surgery

Sometimes you want to speak to a doctor but you end up speaking to the receptionist

My initial gp appt viewed and advised me that the blemish was not cancerous but I would attend the dermatology clinic to have a brown blemish removed. On attending the Dr advised me that the original diagnosis was correct but the blemish could not be removed as it is designated cosmetic by the nhs. Whilst I was happy with advice about the blemish from both Doctors it seems a waste to send me to Dr Sochars clinic if she can no longer take any action.

The servicàe was great at both appointments but was the second necessary ? I know the nhs is cutting back on so many things it must be hard for the surgery to keep up but would it not be possible to put info on the computer linked to key words giving latest parameters for treatment. Not necessarily to dictate diagnosis but support decision making. Might give the doctors a little bit more time back.
